Trading Nylander doesn’t make sense for either team.

so Nylander for an old guy who probably will score about the same as him in the best case scenario but has one less year on his deal and Kerfoot, sandin and a 1st for a guy who scores less than kerfoot, is significantly worse defensivly and has a massivly terrible contract.
what could go wrong?

just for funsies, Last season Nylander and Kane scored at the exact same rate per 60, 3.2, with Nylander scoring goals at a higher rate and Kane having a higher assist rate. The difference was that Kane averaged about 3 and a half minutes more per game than Nylander
Kane also had a much higher offensive zone start rate
