Ottawa isn't trading Norris ever, and New York isn't trading Dobson ever.

Cizikas makes no sense for Ottawa, he's not more valuable than Kastelic, but he's way more expensive.

Zub will get at least 4.5. The Sens have had a rough start but there's no chance they end up with Bedard.

At worst, they finish 22nd.

With Pinto looking like a Calder finisher, Stutzle and Pinto have emerged as the clear 1-2 centers for the team and Norris is also another elite center. That has Oilers with 3 top centers and DeBrincat, Giroux, Batherson, Tkachuk, Motte, Joseph, Formenton, Greig, Boucher for wing. Left Defence is perfect with Chabot and Sanderson as the 1-2 but right Defence has nothing special and can't contend with the top teams of the league. Where do they make the change to address the issue without creating a hole somewhere else in the roster? I agree with Norris being pretty elite but 3 centers was the reason I placed him on that trade.

Isles decline. They wouldn’t consider this

First of all I'd have to see more than 10 games of Pinto to make a move like this. If he finishes the year with, say, 65 points then I'd consider making a big move. The thing is New York is never trading Dobson so this is just unrealistic.

I understand the importance of Dobson on the Islanders and he is a star defenceman number 1 Defenceman. Josh Norris averaged almost 44 goals in a full season last year at 22 years old signed for his career until 2030 at less than 8 million. An Islanders team desperately needing offence in a defence-heavy team has Ryan Pulock and Scott Mayfield on the right side. Adem Pelech and Alex Romanov are brilliant for the left side. On offence outside of Barzal in the center position, Brock Nelson is 31, Cizikas is not ready for the number 2 center role and same goes with Pageau. Josh Norris will fetch an elite return from another team but Islanders are in need of an offensive center more than ever and Dobson would only make it work from the perspective of both sides.

Nelson leads the isles in points this season with 13 points in 11 games. Hes better than Norris. He has 42 goals in his last 82 games. The isles top prospect is also a center who will be taking over the 2C role from Nelson in a few years
