Wait what? Olofsson is much worse than Meier. He is soft, does not play defense, he can only stand still and shoot. Meier is simply a much better player. While I am willing to trade Mittelstadt in this deal instead of Olofsson, we need other players.

How is Olofsson much worse? Olofsson career PPG = .69. Meier = .67.

Olofsson is a F, of course he doesn't play D, but people really discredit his 5v5 game.

In his past 41GP...he has a 55.3 GF% and a 49.3 xGF% ... oh and he never takes penalties, never putting the team down 4-5 on a PK.
Meier: 49.2 GF% 51.4 xGF% and is often in the PK box.

Pretty equal to me, but one player will cost roughly $3mm more than the other...

One of these players is 5th in the league in goals....the other is 57th.

Olofsson only knows how to shoot. He is a very soft player and Meier would be our most physical forward. It's not easy to find a legit top 6 forward who plays the physical game. Yes, Olofsson has a great shot, but that's it, he's invisible in many games. Put Quinn on PP and he'll shoot too, Thompson shoots, Meier shoots. Olofsson is the same Hoffman. Meier is a much better player for me.
