According to articles I've read, asking price is equivalent of 2 1st round picks plus

Krebs and Johnson both worth 1sts, if Johnson doesn't sign with Arizona then I believe they get a 2nd round pick in compensation. Portillo has tons of potential. 2023 2nd is the best of the 3 we have.

If Arizona really wants a 1st round pick, then I'd send them our 2024 1st, top 10 protected, remove Portillo, and downgrade the 2nd

Does Krebs still have 1st round value though? Detroit drafted Zadina in the 1st round but he's likely only worth a 3rd round pick now. If that even. Of course Krebs has much more value than Zadina does.

Yeah exactly, just because those two were drafted in the first round 4 years ago doesn't equal their value still being worth a first. If that were the case montreal would be laughing with a Drouin trade

Just because Krebs and Johnson were first round picks (barely in Johnson's case), doesn't mean they have the value of 1st round picks.
