I wouldn't ever draft a goaltender with a 1st round pick or trade a 1st round pick for a goaltender. Ever. Change it to Sorokin and still no.

Varly won't waive his NTC. He loves the Island. Plus he and Sorokin are BFFs.

ik he's been anti-canada in the past but he's only got a M-NTC this year and i figured LA would be more appealing than canada. he and sorokin are BFFs but sorokin is also super close with romanov apparently so i thought it might lessen the impact.

sorokin is worth it lol but fair, just trying to take advantage of LA's potential desperation/lack of options with cal sucking and getting waived and quick also playing horribly. the isles might trade him for less than a 1st but not with retained salary and i wasn't sure if the kings had the cap space.

Varlomov would waive. It's contract season for him and he hasn't started more than 40 games for a few seasons now. A big part of getting a big deal on his next one would be playing a starters amount of games. Friends are nice but opportunity is nicer.
