Description

If Devils decide to be buyers and allin in playoffs, I think Meier should be their 1st target. He would fit nicely with his countryman Hischier or even with Hughes, could be our #1 scorer that we are looking for. Its tough to give up Holtz but without him the Sharks dont even answer the call. Let me know your thoughts below, is this enough to get Meier?

can't see Grier doing that without a 1st coming back especially if they're taking a cap dump and giving a prospect that the organization likes. it's not a conditional pick when Timo is on pace for 80+ points and 40 goals.

What if it was Holtz + 2nd for Meier 3m retained. If that doesn't do it, you probably don't get Holtz. I'd gladly do Muk + 1st or a couple B prospects + 1st, but Holtz is valuable.

Your line up should have Haula stapled to Hughes because apparently the coaching staff sees something that nobody else can. I'm all in on Meier

Meier would be great. But there is close to zero percent chance he is moved to NJ in a deadline deal.

Fitzy is not spending on rentals. Would never acquire pending RFA without an extension agreed to.

Grier isn’t letting other teams talk extensions with Meier during season.

Expect a deal after the season, between the June arbitration window and the 2023 draft. Return will be similar to Fiala package. Contract extension will be around Forsberg’s AAV. Just have to determine which team it will be.
