Gotta think that's an pretty large overpay for Gavrikov. His value (at least on here) has been pretty widely accepted as a 1st and a 3rd.

The value difference between Kupari and a 4th round pick going to LA is much more than a 3rd round pick.

this deal would happen at the draft, wouldn't even have to be to tampa, i just see robinson as someone who gets squeezed out but still has reasonable value (big, fast winger who is noticeable on the ice but isn't good at finishing).

it was reported last night that a 1st + 3rd was the floor for gavrikov, with 10+ teams calling to talk about him. i'm guessing the price will go up from there, hence kupari, who makes a lot of sense for the jackets. cbj could have a mid-round pick going the other way, that was more of a general framework.

If I'm LA, I walk away from that price personally. Or if Kupari is the sticking point, I counter by pushing the pick to 2024. Even then, I'd still think it's too much.

But that's just me and my 2 cents.
