I would say Dubois. They probably trade him before or at the draft like they did with Trouba. The situation is exactly the same.

Why waste the assets on PLD? He supposedly wants to go to mtl. Why not just wait to see if he forces a 1 year deal so he can become a ufa in a year and sign him then? No reason for mtl to start buying just yet.

Trouba said he wanted out of Winnipeg and would sign with NYR only in 2019. Rangers still traded a 20th overall pick and a young top 4 D for him.

And the funny thing is, Winnipeg had the same GM back then, while Jeff Gorton was NYR GM, and he's now working for MTL.
