Description
Toronto's cap hit for 23/24 will start at 65 million, if Bettman is correct and the escrow is paid off by the end of this season. The cap ceiling will go up to a potential 88 million. Giving Toronto 23 million dollars to resign the likes of Meier, Bunting, Samsonov, Timmins, Kampf, Holmberg, Aston-Reese, and Simmonds.
Meier=10M QO (potential rental to save room for Matthews/Nylander which would be sad, but if one of those two depart Meier stays)
Bunting=5.25M
Samsonov=3.25M
Timmins=2M
Kampf=1M
Holmberg=1M
Aston-Reese=1M
Simmonds replaced with Clifford at 762,500K

Sabres won't need any IR cap next year, and if they did they can find it cheaper than a 2nd

laugh laugh Sharks pass, San Jose isn't retaining 50% on Karlsson for another 4.5 years plus trading Timo Meier for 3 pending UFAs plus Niemela 2 1st and a 2nd round pick. No way is that close value for both Karlsson and Meier. Trade is a joke not nearly enough heading back the Sharks way.

Retaining 5.75 million is worth more than a 1st on its own.
