Description
Get as many 2023 1st as you can. Seravalli reported McCabe at 50% off for the remainder of his contract (2.5 years) is likely worth what the Flyers gave up for Ristolainen. Is anybody as dumb as the Flyers? Probably not. But I do think the Hawks get a 1st for him if they retain.

I'd do that as NYR if you could accept a prospect type player in Kravstov or Zac Jones over one of the 1st round picks. But, I guess it also depends how much NYR need to give ARI for the retention

I think NYR should do everything they can to keep one of their 1st rounders, to try to avoid past mistakes

The Kings will not give up a 1st round pick for McCabe, with or without retention.

Rangers should do that, but there are rumors that Drury wants to keep his 1st round picks.
What if one is switched to the 2024 1st?

I think Chicago would be wise to ask for both 2023 1sts. It would give them a deeper prospect pool faster. With potential for Bedard, getting more picks in a deep draft is crucial.

You're probably right, there's a few other teams interested anyway. Kings have needed to make a move for a LD for 2 years. Now their goaltending has faded and they eventually need a LD and a G.
