Expected to see Montembault here and have an actual discussion. Kings don't want Allen and his sub 0.900 save percentage. We already have 3 goalies like that.

And they certainly wouldn't trade their franchise icon along with a prospect and decent pick.

Your underlying premise is wrong -- LA doesn't need money (i.e., cap space) "for more trades" because the only trade(s) which we might want to make involve such high-quality players that we'd have to be sending big-ticket talent (i.e., guys of our own with big cap hits) back the other way. And we're not about to trade a franchise icon, who has spent his entire career in a Kings jersey and won two Stanley Cups in it, in the last months of the final year of his contract.
