Description

So with Forsberg's season done and Talbot still injured, Ottawa is severely short on goalie options. This might be a good fit to relieve Detroit of Ned's cost and for Ottawa to give a young goalie a change of scene type shot.

I know ned has like, no value outside of an extremely low pick, but I don’t see us moving him.

The fact of the matter is the other Grand Rapids goalies are AWFUL and we have a number of prospects down there that need to have a shot in hell of winning night to night. And right now the only shot they have in net is ned.

I think the only team(s) that might benefit from giving up a goalie for future considerations is Dallas giving up Khudobin (maybe LA giving up Petersen, he has term with a huge cap hit, so don't see a fit).

What do you mean "futures never work"?

The intent is to completely give away a contract to another team so that team will be the one signing the checks. It is not meant for a "future return"

If I was Detroit owner or GM, I'd be happy if another team wanted to pay this player
