Trades
1.
PHI
  1. Gurianov, Denis
  2. 2023 2nd round pick (DAL)
  3. 2023 4th round pick (DAL)
Additional Details:
Attard might need more seasoning, but what exactly does tony for 5m that Ronnie cant for league minimum wage next year if not end of this year
DAL
  1. Deangelo, Anthony ($2,500,000 retained)
Additional Details:
Does this make any sense from a stars perspective? Flyer retain while taking on cap on Gurianov. a 2nd may be too much how about 3rd + 5th?
2.
PHI
  1. Puljujärvi, Jesse
  2. Ryan, Derek
  3. 2024 4th round pick (EDM)
EDM
  1. Deslauriers, Nicolas
  2. MacEwen, Zack
Additional Details:
Creates 2/3 of a 4th line that will likely kill anyone that touches CM97. Take on close to 4.5m of useless cap and replacing it for half the cost and triple the checking and toughness I believe Oilers need
3.
PHI
  1. Spence, Jordan
  2. 2023 3rd round pick (PIT)
  3. 2024 1st round pick (LAK)
LAK
  1. Provorov, Ivan
Additional Details:
More likely an offseason move unless Chychrun is acquired and the LA need for LHD closes. Can be acquired for half the cost of JC and has played better with York on his pair providing much needed stability to his game.

Comes with a slight deformity he hates rainbows. Could be a fun fix
4.
PHI
  1. Drury, Jack
  2. 2023 5th round pick (VAN)
  3. 2024 1st round pick (CAR)
CAR
  1. Hayes, Kevin
Additional Details:
50% retainment year one which slides down to 30% for a cap hit of 5m for the remaining 3 years. Having a PPG and Torts has added winger versatility to his game which may be contributing to the points increase
5.
PHI
  1. 2023 2nd round pick (MIN)
  2. 2023 4th round pick (MIN)
MIN
  1. Seeler, Nick
  2. van Riemsdyk, James ($3,500,000 retained)
Additional Details:
Made clear no assets for pure rentals. Seeler has 1+ years of control and JVR just purchased a house in the state. Say extension 3x3.75 comes with trade is it still a no?

This would likely be a lateral move if they decide to dump Dumba or are able to move Greenway adding scoring a defensive depth in one go
6.
PHI
  1. 2024 6th round pick (VGK)
7.

  1. 2024 5th round pick (TOR)

From a Stars perspective the deal makes sense. I'd push for it to be a 2024 2nd instead of a 2023, but the bones of the deal make sense. Dallas needs a puck-moving RD on their blue line. Heiskanen is the only defenseman they have that is reliable with the puck on his stick.

I can't see the Wild having much interest in giving JVR a 3x3.75 extension - their cap the next 2 years is just too tight. From what Russo has told us, they're only really interested if he's dirt cheap to acquire. You'll almost certainly get a better offer elsewhere.

Possibly on most and very conscio0us of what the other teams needs/wants are. Most of those are probably right on the money, value wise, JVR for a 2nd and 4th is about right as is

GOOD JOB!

My only drawback trade is Hayes. Considering similar production Horvat just got 1.4mil more for 8 yrs, that Hayes is scoring a ppg, and the fact you’ve gone a bit too young/too much rushing on the second line, I’d keep Hayes for that return. Hes kind of the perfect vet/playmaker we need for shoot first guys like forester, brink, tippet, and even if he slides to 3rd line or 3rd line LW, hes got just 2 yrs left after this one.

Its also Drury, a very late 1st rounder doesn’t really warrant the player let alone the player and the retention. And you still have 20+ mil left, I just dont think he needs to be moved and we need his veteran leadership and playmaking skills on such a very young team you have above.

The three scratches probably are3 not tendered/brought back, I'd keep Hayes and Atkinson will be back in 23-24, which means no rushing Desnoyers, Gautheir.

I would expect Foerster, Brink, Attard or Zamula to join the club in 23-24. But too many youngsters probably means not enough icetime/develoipment time for all.

Nit picking but Sandstrom and Braun get a bit more than that, at least a round higher for each, and I’d keep one of deslauriers or macewen (and that trade stays the same for EDM, those two are negative value)

Change Minnesota’s 2nd to Greenway and the 4th to a 3rd and it’s probably pretty close. I don’t see Minnesota extending JVR though.
