I never love retention on Ekholm deals. This is fine value, but I’d just prefer a trade without retention

Anywhere outside of Raleigh, NC is fine by me. Don't see how he helps our lineup down the stretch. The Wolves could use some help though.

I think the Canes are interested in JP, but if they do make a move for him, they likely pick him up in the off season when he doesn’t get qualified.
