Yzerman won't waste a retention slot for 400k. I'd rather buyout Vrana than take a measly 5th. Detroit declines. You must be a Leafs fan. Trying to get something for nothing.

No no no. Arizona trade makes zero sense for Isles and even so they’re not sending high picks back.

Detroit also declines and maybe considers if its the arizona offer

I think it makes a lot of sense for the isles, it’s debatable whether Arizona would do it. Trade a below replacement level forward on a bad contract and a 3rd pair D with little upside (but might have value because he’s young and hits players)

Vrana still has a season left on his contract and even if he doesn't play well Detroit can likely get a 5th for him at next year's TDL.
