Description
Sharks aren’t signing many contracts this offseason. Likely all the ufa players are gone, most of the RFAs will be as well. They sign the players they traded for and look for similar additions in the offseason.

Grier mentions that Havelid and Bystedt are coming to San Jose after their years end, so they are being signed. I think they should wait another year for that but who knows.

Sharks need more picks higher in drafts. They can’t move many guys for a decent return at this point.

Sharks rounds 1 and 2 draft picks (current point % rankings):
-2nd Fantilli
-30th Simashev
-34th Perrault
-53rd Mole

He’s not a bad player when placed on a line with actual nhl level talent. Scoring similar points to Neiderreiter with a similar cap hit and he returned a 2nd. Sharks can eat the salary too. Gamble imo but yeah the numbers look great for murashov. Sharks drafted beaupit at 108 instead of getting this guy

I think they hold onto Gregor, Svechnikov, Cardwell, Chrona. Agree with the others.
Not sure if EDM wants or can afford Karlsson anymore after trading for Ekholm. That ship may have sailed. Not sure what suitors are going to be around come summer.

Yeah the acquisition of ekholm certainly complicates EK65 to Edmonton that much more. Sharks take back $10 mil and retain $3 mil should make the 1st year work. Campbell has many years at 5 mil and same with ceci at $3.25, feel like taking back all that cap should make it much more manageable.

That would be an overpay for Mayfield, he should be around 4x4.
