Chinakhov is too steep imo. If they're getting Hayes it's probably because the price is bargain bin and not going to cost them a 1st or a recently drafted 1st from their lineup like Chinny.

i really want to have Peeke be a major value piece in a Hayes trade. Philly needs RD (or at least one for cheaper than who they have), and with how their GM he probably sees Peeke as quite a cornerstone D for them. DeAngelo is DeAngelo, Risto is horrendous, and Ellis' career is done. This kinda trade could be a Jones Johansen, just reversed, and a lot less quality lol

I think he requested a trade and PHI wants to retool, so his value is slightly diminished but he’s not just a dump. His value isn’t high, but other teams will be after him. He’s still a good player and only 30.

I agree Chinakov is a guy we shouldn’t want to move. But I would be willing to part with some of these excess picks.

The Jackets could milk the last few good years out of Hayes and he gets to play on a skilled line with his good friend. He’s only a little bit overpaid and has the potential to come into a good situation where he can be rejuvenated. To me it’s worth the shot for the right price, but I don’t see him being a big bargain. I could definitely wind up being wrong on that though.

I love chinny, I really do. I just think there is value to capitalize on there with the depth of forwards we do have. I'd much rather move him to a team that also sees something in him and play a more than serviceable player like Tex or Danforth in that roster spot. I respect opinion though. I also wanted to offer something of value as I didn't know the exact realm that Hayes' price would be in, I hate when AGM trades clearly favor OP's favorite team.
