This definitely makes more sense for the Pens than it does the Kings.

Kermpe is on track for his second 30+ goal season and signed for three more seasons after this one. Can't see what here makes the Kings better today, as their trade deadline indicates they have entered their competition window.

Yeah. POJ could be a great fit for them and the fact he's cheap definitely has big value. If they don't keep Gavrikov, he could be an option for them, but the probable return would be a similar level ELC player or maybe someone like Lizotte. I'd much prefer to move Smith in a deal if possible. I think POJ has real potential and I'd hate to let him go unless it's a good upgrade to the forward group.
