Description
What price and term would you bring Jarry back for? Would you even bring him back? I would be very very hesitant to.

4 or 5 x $5. He's a fine goalie. Pretty unlikely that there is going to be someone better available.

I would be very hesitant to give him even 4 or 5 years of term. Hasn't really proven anything in big moments. I think a 1-2 year prove it deal at 4-5 mil is much more fair. Maybe there wont be someone better but would you rather have a slightly worse goalie who is available most of the time, or Jarry with his injury history. Sometimes best ability is availability

Haha, "the best ability is availability" is my rec hockey teams slogan.

Only way I see you guys letting him walk is if you go after the Gibbster, who has more question marks than Jarry, IMO (I love Gibby, I don't want to move him, but if he's getting moved, I really only see Pittsburgh or Buffalo as potential spots at this point).

It's tough to gauge - I can understand the frustration you have with him at times, but I also worry that there's not much else out there to replace him with.

Current starting/1B goalies that are UFA this summer:
Martin Jones (41 GP, ,888 SV%, 2.98 GAA)
Jarry (33 GP, .914, 2.86)
James Reimer (33 GP, .895, 3.27)
Cam Talbot (32 GP, .905, 2.85)
Jonathan Quick (32 GP, .877, 3.48)
Joonas Korpisalo (29 GP, .912, 3.13)
Adin Hill (27 GP, .915, 2.50)
Freddie Andersen (23 GP, .906, 2.35)
Antti Raanta (23 GP, .907, 2.32)
Craig Anderson (22 GP, .918, 2.78)
Semyon Varlamov (20 GP, .914, 2.68)

Not exactly a murderers row out there. And giving Jarry a lowball deal (either in AAV or short-term) is a tough think to do when Buffalo & Carolina will be in the starting goalie market, and when Seattle can easily buyout Chris Driedger and pay up to upgrade over Philipp Grubauer. I honestly think 4x$5M is the baseline for Jarry, if you don't offer that, he's walking.

It puts you in a tough spot as others have said. Would you go for Varlamov on a short term deal if not Jarry? That’s about all that’s out there. I guess Freddy is ok too if it’s a short term deal. Someone will offer Jarry term.
