Still a no on petry. Probably better value for the sabres to have him stuck on the pens than to be playing minutes on their team.

Hes been good for us, we just need to start heading towards the younger side. With this retention it gives him a caphit of 4.75 mil. In my opinion that's not bad for a 3rd round pick. A veteran dman who can help the youngsters ease into spots.

Samuelsson - Dahlin
Power - Petry

Assuming you trade Olofsson, you're basically trading his money for Petry who would be making the same and it fills a position of need.

1 We need to put Granlund on waivers. If he clears then bury him. No use is wasting a 2nd rounder.

2 Petry will be here next season. It’s highly unlikely we can find a destination for him and it would cost us too much to dump him.

3 Ottawa wouldn’t take that. Pickering isn’t attractive to a team with Chabot, Sanderson, and Chychrun.

4 I would love that trade for Jake but I’d be shocked if they deal him

Imn Minnesota is absolutely not doing thjs..besides our cap, our gm builds through draft and long term. Not trading top prospects and 1st round pick for Jake. So no with all due respect

I believe Debrincat wants $9M AAV so this probably wouldn't work, and as someone said earlier, not sure Pickering is an attractive piece for the Sens given their current depth there.

Don't think Buffalo would take that Petry deal, not sure he waives for them either.

Carter's only out is if he retires and the pens can ship that contract (think Weber to the yotes most recently)

Just buyout Granlund, I highly doubt anyone takes him via trade.

Don't mind the rest, but i'd only be moving Jake if i'm in some way (not necessarily the trade he's involved in) getting a strong LW to replace him. (which in this scenario I think Cat is highly unrealistic
