-The big draw with Phillippe Myers last year was the buyout credit. This year he would not have a buyout credit. I think with him included, it costs more, but for just Seabrook a 4th should be fine.
-I don't like sending Katchouk in that Bailey dump. But I guess it's fine. He really started to impress me near the end of the season. I would prefer to further explore that and keep him around.
-Even with Tyler Myers bonus paid, moving out a $6m cap hit is going to be tough. That is probably fine if CHI isn't sending all those pieces back to VAN, but with them included, I don't like it. Not really interested in Studnicka either. But, whatevz.

I think you have a point in making moves with teams that would most realistically make a deal, the one I just think is maybe optimistic is the Buffalo deal, Buffalo doesn't want to trade for assets, they have cap and so they would like to go out and get a guy this summer, like Graves, so they will avoid trading if possible.

I think the one team you forgot to highlight that the hawks could get the largest "fee" for their services from is the Oilers! The oilers have 2 things they would love to do this summer, 1 being move on from Jack Campbell, but I have a high suspicion that won't happen, and 2nd, but probably the most realistic for the hawks, is brokering an Erik Karlsson trade. I could see the Hawks getting a 1st as payment in such a deal. But we will see!

Buying a 6th round pick for taking Phillippe Meyers is more or less my thoughts on adding that to the Seabs for the Hawk 4th back (I would be happy to leave it at just Seabs for the 4th but kind of think the extra piece make it more likely to happen).

I've seen Vancouver fans willing to move on from Studnicka and kind of view him as a reset on Katchouk where it is the same guy (former highish 2nd rounder that hasn't really broken through) but a year younger. Neither Kat or Studnicka ever amount to much more than a 4th liner filler on a not so good team and both will be gone by the time the Hawks are meaningful again. I kind of view Mitchell for Studnicka and like the 4th as relatively fair value. Roos inclusion is just giving a guy a chance that likely will have WAY to many guys to jump over at LHD with the Hawks. Klimovich is a high 2nd rounder that has played 2 full season in the AHL and is only 20. Caleb Jones blocks a spot for LHD prospects which I would rather just start throwing some of those prospects into the deepend like Keith was and see who can sink or swim on a terrible team and when the Hawks are ready to get better hopefully have figured out which prospects are suspects and which might be Keith. Myers is a roll of the dice as a rehab guy that can be flipped at the deadline. The 6 million cap hit is certainly a negative, but getting PP time with the Hawks, retaining half (of only a million actual dollars) should be a 2nd or 3rd at the deadline coming back. I don't view myers as a complete cap dump. He is not worth 6 million as a player, but at 3 or 4 for just a year I suspect teams would be willing to give value and happy to have him.
