Description

Obviously, a lot of pipe dream stuff here. I do think taking a one year risk on patches is a good idea, could turn out to be a great risk / reward contract for the penguins. Graves will give Letang that steady “dumo” type presence while allowing MP to play with Petry. POJ / smith is whatever but should be sheltered and some offence to help the forwards.

Didn’t try to trade Carter because we know that isn’t happening. I don’t want either of the penguins goalies back next year but I should’ve included lindberg instead of one of the first rounders or desmith.

Henrique retained should pull a 2nd and a good not great prospect, not your Rutta and a third.

Anaheim might be interested in giving you a fourth for Rutta, but not Adam Henrique. A pick that in all likelihood won't be better than 88th overall isn't much of an incentive to part with our best veteran forward.

I can’t see a world where a 33 year old, expiring UFA who had a knee injury last year fetches more than a third round pick, in all honesty. Nino NIEDERREITER went for a 2nd with a 4m aav with another year on his deal. I’d agree that maybe they don’t take rutta, maybe a ty smith instead but a 2nd + a prospect is lunacy

Disagree on saros. He’s one of the best goalies in the league and he’s under 30. He’s not coming for a 1st + Pickering and a career at best backup.
