No team who wins the lottery considers trading the pick, and certainly not for that.

Probably take a percentage in the franchise to acquire that pick

Ouch. That trade is brutal. I thought I might find some unrealistic package that might entice a team to give up Bedard, but there isn't anything. The 2 1sts are obviously a start. I thought maybe adding Courtourier with 50% retained...but what else? Frost is not that great. The D is lacking. Adding Konecny just gives a rental or a cap disruption.

Seriously , I don't think there is any package of picks, prospects, and active players with salary retention that would entice a team to trade the Bedard pick. Philly needs to tank for a few years.

Gee, trading two picks for an overpriced 3rd liner Anderson is not the solution.
Flyers have to wait to get much better. Too many bad contracts gum up the cap. The Flyers or even Philadelphia is not an attractive destination for UFAs anymore.

Habs reject that trade. They want to try to make the playoffs next season and Anderson is necessary for that.
