Description
Caps have missed the playoffs for the first time since 2014, and will have a high draft pick. But It’s hard to say what direction they will go in this offseason. I think the best route is to do a little retooling cause I don’t see them starting a full blown rebuild until Ovechkin retires. This team’s main purpose the next few years will be to get Ovie past Gretzky, but they do need to get younger.

I’m doing this assuming Backstrom and Oshie are healthy, but I wouldn’t be surprised if one of them ends up LTIRetiring soon.

Kuznetsov to the Bruins could pick up some steam I could see them doing that, I don’t think they should call all bets off on competing, they still have enough talent on their team where they don’t need to rebuild yet, rather a retool is highly likely and is in their best interest.

I don't think the B's will want Kuzy for anything less than 50% retention, if they want him at all.

Ivan Miroshnichenko is coming to the states. He'll probably get a decent look to join the big club. I'd personally go for Tarasenko vs trading for Hall. Keep the assets. That'll also allow the ability to not sign Brown and thus a Dman like Orlov back to WAS. I'm not intending to make WAS team Russia, but the moves seem to fit.
