After everything that happened? No. Guys like him and Bowman should not be allowed to work in the NHL ever again. I can give them the benefit of the doubt that they didn't understand the gravity of the situation when they decided to do nothing about it, but an example needs to be made.

Former 2012 issues aside

No he's more of the same. Coach Q is infamous for being anti young guys and hard on his players. Like Sutter that style made him a good coach for getting a very close knit team over the top but it would work horribly with the direction Calgary needs for next year

I'm bias because I'm a Hawks fan. I'm also a guy that's for second chances. BUT what they did was messed up. It really is on Q, Bowman, and McD. They actively went out and told the players it was taken care of...lied.

But just like @Ledge_And_Dairy said. He's spot on. Q hates young players. The list of Hawks that Q refused to play is pretty crazy. Especially on D. I'm always amazed Gustav Forsling isn't 35 years old...and then I look him up again and he's only 26! Wow

Replacing a dinosaur with another dinosaur? Why not hire Babcock?

There are definitely exceptions. Jokiharju was another one that Q really liked but generally speaking he was very similar to Sutter in favoring vets. If Calgary decides to outsource for their new coach then Andrew Brunette is probably the best option. Shouldn't cost a whole lot to bring in, has a very good relationship with Huberdeau and Weegar, and Lundell proved that young guys can succeed on his team. Not to mention he's the assistant coach for a very successful and young Devils team this year. I'm also kind of hoping the Flames hire John Chayka
