Description
Curious if any of these teams want to move down to #19 OA.

It makes most sense for PIT who doesn’t have a 2nd rounder and missed the playoffs so they’ll need young pieces for their aging team. They move down 4 spots and get a 2nd rounder.

I think the team I’ve built is still bad, but not as bad as last year. Seven rookies, highlighted by Bedard and Korchinski as well as Reichel’s first full season as an overripe prospect.

Domi earns a more permanent spot as 2C with a 3year deal. AA comes back and Drouin just makes a lot of sense for me as trade bait and giving him top 6 minutes and PP1 time to help him find his game and confidence again.

I'd rather let Caleb Jones walk for free. And as much as I do like Ian Mitchell...I doubt another team will send a 2nd for his services. The Hawks have botched up his development a bit.

Personally, I'd keep Korchinksi in the AHL a year. just keep him on track. Don't rush anything. Sign Mitchell and play him with Tinordi. That's a good Dpair. offensive Mitchell with defensive Tinordi.

As for LWers...Barbashev/Bunting would be my bet over Drouin.

You mean Kevyn Adams hangs up the phone laughing at me and loses my number? 🤣

Do you think Hawks should move up to draft Wood? Seems like a special player to me.

Does Korchinski qualify for AHL? I thought he was either WHL or NHL next year. That’s why I have him on the team.

I’ve soured on Mitchell. He’s stalled as an AHL RD1 borderline NHL RD3. I’d rather squeeze draft capital out of him and keep the Joneses together for one more rodeo.

Penguins would be happy to get that. What I’ve been hoping for!

VERY fair point on AHL/WHL for Korchinski. I didn't think about that. WHL is fine by me then. Have him play for team Canada again and be a more prominent role. Steady development was more my point.

I would move up in the draft. Too many 2nds and opens up the possibility of another Kevin Hayes situation. Wood is a nice player. I like Reinbacher in the early teens spot. RD are not easy to find. We've got plenty of LD in our system, but not too many RD. Rinzel looks nice so far, but still way to early to tell.

Barbashev is tops on my offseason wishlist. Hope they don't go overboard with offseason signings though. Very weak free agent year
