If Buffalo has any interest in bringing Foligno back, they’re not giving up 1 3rd round pick for him never mind 2. You could get a fifth rounder, considering his $3 million salary and no retention. Personally, I don’t see it because I think one of Girgensons or Okposo will be back and they contribute as much as he does, and will cost less.

Just out of curiosity, what trade comp(s) did you use to arrive at his value being a 5th? Seems like an extremely arbitrary thing to just state without any context.

Didn't Fleury just say he didn't want to move and wanted this play out his last year there?

Ehlers isn't for sale. And for 2 bad LHD? The Jets are already buried in those. You'd have to pay just for the cap dump. What a joke.

I didn’t need any trade comparisons. He is a $3,000,000 fourth line player, and Buffalo can fill that spot with either Kyle Okposo or Girgensons for less money, and get the same or better production. There was a time when Buffalo could have used Foligno again, that time has passed in my opinion. If they wanted him back, they wouldn’t have to pay a very high a price to get him. Minnesota would be thrilled to move his $3 million salary without having to retain any of it and still get something back at all.
