Not the easiest trades to make. The Coyotes are trading for unlocked potential in Lafreniere, where he will assume the top line winger position. Goodrow only gets traded in the deal for cap space for the rangers, and so the coyotes can eat salary and get two draft picks. Panarin goes TOR as he has an additional year as opposed to Marner, who has only 2 years left on the contract.

Ive seen Panarin for Marner trade come up many times and its not the right move for the leafs since Marner plays penalty kill, is younger and has a lower cap hit.

Arizona declines....Goodrow is a cap dump (a negative value), Lafrenière is a bust, Robertson is meh at best....For a proven young 24 yr old winger who by the way is the face of the franchise (best player).

You would have to include guys like Othmann, Cuylle and Scheider for Arizona to consider.
