Description
Garland and Arvidsson are both fantastic players that could be available for cheap.

Vancouver is looking to clear cap, as always, but dont have the picks to make a Tyler Myers 1y, 6M cap dump make sense. Garland is a useful player with under 5M cap hit that IF you can be paid to take him, he should be a prime target for any team with cap space.

LA is looking to move cap to re-sign Gavrikov and Arvidsson is the name speculated on the way out. Former multi-time 30 goal scorer and 60pt man, Arvidsson can bolster the offense while not giving up anything defensively either.

1y rental on Arvidsson(potential to re-sign) and under 5Mx3 for Garland keeps the cap space open beyond this year for guys like Aho, Necas and Pesce. CF has them projected with 43M cap space based on my signings below.

As for the signings, replace Gustafsson, Andersen, Namestnikov and Staal with whoever you want with similar cap hits.

That Gustafsson deal is not a good idea, the rest is probably somewhat realistic. We know Tulsky loves weaponizing cap space EG Burns, Pacioretty. I have to think they bring Max back too. You're also a little high on Staal and Fast, and you didn't resign Puljujarvi which is going to happen over signing Namestnikov.

I'm not a fan of re-signing de Haan, you're better off just bringing someone up like Lajoie to be the 7th Dman.

Drop Staal to maybe around a 2x2 and I think that's the best offer for him. I'm also assuming Fast gets that much because of his playoff numbers this year?

I get the idea behind the Arvidsson trade, but the Kings acquired him for a 2nd in the closest draft to the trade and a 3rd in the one after that. There's no reason to think he has less value now than that trade. At the very least, you'd need to swap the order of the picks. And I'm not thrilled about a 2nd rounder from Carolina, which is in the 60s (? I think). So the Kings pass on this. There would be better offers out there if LA does indeed make Arvy available.

As a side note, I do like the idea of Arvidsson in a Carolina jersey. He would fit the up-tempo style of their team really well.
