You can trade Blackwood, but not to the Canes. And why Orlov?

Nikishin won't happen until next year. And you're pretty much expecting Morrow to be on the main team. Seeley, Fensore, Montgomery... Also wouldn't be surprised if Blake or Unger Sorum join the team too.

I think at that value, Canes would make a big push to re-sign Guentzel.
Don't need Graves for this trade. If Canes re-sign Skjei in the offseason, then there's no point in it, and if they didn't, they can look for a cheaper LD option for third line while Orlov gets bumped up to the second line.
Also, didn't MAF said he's going to retire as a Wild anyways?

What will Don Cook
I'd say Noesen should be asking for what Chatfield is getting, given how well he plugs into any line on the ice.
Tervainen might get more on the market. Don't really see a need to bring back Lorentz, even though I loved seeing him play with the Canes.

Random Idea
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>StDetroitBlueWings</b></div><div>Thomas won't be available. Kyrou most likely isn't available but would be more open to listening on him than Thomas. I imagine if this were a scenario to happen, Buch would have an extension in place already. KK is just a negative asset so packaging with a higher end asset in Necas for a top line guy in Buch still shouldn't be out of the question. It's not often a guy like Buch is available and it won't be cheap. Just been seeing a Necas for Buch swap before numerous times and wondered about KK since I feel he needs a change of scenery and could fill the Blues void in a decent 3C role (possibly move to 2C if desperate enough before Dvorsky is ready).</div></div>
I could agree on that, Buch would definitely need an extension for that kind of trade. I'm probably just looking at things a bit differently. Then again, I guess it's all just how GMDW does his trades.

I probably interpreted it differently, yeah. Thing is, I don't see the Canes offering Necas for anyone unless it's for big names (Petterson, Tkachuk, etc.). Only players that could even come close to something like that on the Blues roster would be Kyrou or Thomas, and that'd be a completely different discussion.

I don't think that's a slight add. Now maybe a couple of higher round picks can count as a slight add, but the Canes aren't likely trading Necas for a rental.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Timmah007</b></div><div>I like it but have a small concern. I’m not overly familiar with what ever happened in the past but doesn’t have a great track record of being good in the dressing room. Maybe that’s unfair to say. I’m ok with the gamble just as long as holland does his research first. If a guy is going to be around the team but not really playing I’d much prefer he brings an accepting personality to the role. It’s gotta be tough to sit and watch your team play and carry a smile. That’s a small but important component in my opinion.</div></div>
Nothing really came out of the locker room saying he's a cancer for the Canes (that we know of), especially for his first year. The worst trouble he got in was just accumulating a couple of garbage time misconducts and a embellishment fine since they were stacked up.
And now's your chance since he's up on waivers, lol

The way Seravalli worded his tweet out about it sort of came off as TDA asking for the trade himself. He's been floating in and out as the 7th Dmen this whole time and essentially pushed out of the main roster. He's serviceable at most and is just a waste of right under 2 million to sit in the press box every night for us right now.

Let’s go oilers</div></div>
Second one is what came out about the Canes willing to eat half his salary for a 5th, per Seravalli.

Guentzel CAR extension
Only way I can see that trade work is if you take Bunting out of it and replace it with someone like Morrow. Pens would rather have prospects than picks right now, so Morrow + Suzuki could be a better starter.
EDIT: This isn't accounting for the picks in this, just the players.

Wings Offseason
Canes will have Andersen (if he's fully back to speed) and Kochetkov next season, no need for Husso. Even if Andersen ends up landing on LTIR for more treatment, I think the Canes would rather sniff around for someone like Saros or Gibson to run a 1A/1B.

Why trade out Chatfield AND retain on him to just have the same logjam at RHD?
Canes should be looking for a 2C in this case, not for even more defense.

what a Saros to CAR trade would look like
Unless Nashville retains, Canes need to shed some cap for that to happen. 1st is necessary, Pesce would be the one that comes to mind for the Canes to move out since there's a bit of a logjam at RHD.
Morrow would only be available if he doesn't want to sign here after this year, otherwise he's considered untouchable.

The only way Chatfield won't be on the team is because he walks as a UFA.
You seriously shouldn't be selling off Martin when he's the only backup right now. ESPECIALLY after Raanta injured himself (again).

Can't really say much about his performance, but I know he was really P.O.'d with the front office when he was assigned to Norfolk in the ECHL and was one of the few that never reported there.

Selling and hopefully drafting a D
Canes would need to send someone back to try and fit under the cap, but that could happen in a different trade. Sounds like a good trade, though I think the Canes want to aim for a UFA goalie since they don't know if Andersen will be back next year or not.
