Description
Maatta trade that is being explored by hockey writers.. Who knows wtf Sakic is doing, but top 4 dman + picks and prospects? Could easily be asking for Sprong instead and/or Pouliot too... For the sake of the argument I'll assume that Dumo and Sheary go all the way through with arbitration (tho more likely scenario is they agree on long term deals).. Leaves the penguins in a tough spot defensively.

sounds like its going to take more, and I dont think its worth losing Maatta and ZAR over, IMO

It really comes down to if they think Pouliot can fill Maatta's shoes. I wouldn't give up both of them, and I wouldn't give up Sprong.

I agree it will take more than that to land Duchene. Remember, he's not a deadline rental. Hanzal went at the deadline for a 1st and 2 2nd rounders. Duchene no doubt has more value than hanzal. Pens don't really need Duchene to compete for another cup anyways.
