Hawks GM has says they do not plan on using all the draft picks they currently have which I take to mean they want to consolidate into better picks. NYR, COL, & VGK are 3 teams missing lots of early picks the next few drafts that I though might have some interest in trading back to add more picks. I tried making 3 trades with at least a slight overpay from the Hawks based on the Athletic pick value chart. There are other combos where the Hawk picks can be changed to make deals with any of these teams, it is just that you can only use a pick in one trade on here so I tried making 3 that sort of work.
Not that the value is bad but the Avs are downright awful at developing their players picked after 10 OA so they probably need to get the absolute best player possible for him to have a chance at becoming anything for them. Now, that's not to say they couldn't turn around and use those two 2nds to acquire other players they need but their system is just drained at this point so they need a good player coming in. I feel like they make the pick this year but the 2024 1st might be in play.
Good start. It would be something if KD pulls that off. He could probably throw in a couple of players, depending on the other teams' needs, to sweeten the pot. Now that he has the 5 1st round picks, I'm sure he'll come up with some moves to package a few of them and move higher up into the 1st round.
can you guys hire dubas for the day and let him draft 5 times in the first round, just wanna see what he gets. bedard is a lock for #1 but the other 4 should be fun to see

Just figured a team with no 2nds the next 3 drafts and no 3rds the next couple should be looking for more quantity of picks, especially with a really thin prospect pool. The idea with that Vancouver '24 2nd was playing the odds a little that they might end up sneaky higher than what you might suspect if they miss the playoffs again.
Avs decline and go for quality over quantity. They're generally crap at drafting outside the first round anyway which is why they trade all their seconds away lol.
