You aren't getting Byram for a rental

A more realistic return would be similar to the Fiala to LA trade. Fiala was almost 26 yo coming off a 85 point season as an RFA with arb rights (1 year away from UFA) and returned pick #19 + Brock Faber

I'm by far not a leafs fan however Minnesota was absolutely strangled cap wise Toronto isn't nearly as desperate.

Byram is awfully injury prone so far no? If you lose Nylander's offence, does 40 game a year from a young and developing defenceman really make sense?
