the cap space gallagher is currently taking up isnt worth half of that price to MTL. Really no logical way to justify paying to dump his contract, although i do agree the price would be astronomical.

It was a suggested trade on someone's AGM, I decided to look into it and figure what the cost in picks would be to move Gallagher. If he was an average NHL player it would be much less, but he has been below average, almost to the poor level. So the cost to dump is astronomical.
