I would personally rather keep the assets spent on Mcleod, and just sign Suter to a similar contract instead. Otherwise the offseason will likely look very similar to this.

I think McLeod could be a steal for cheap. Underutilized, fast, kills penalties. Production not bad for somebody only getting 12 minutes a night

Devils have no incentive to trade him though. Why would they if he's doing all of those things for them at a low cap hit?
