All things considered not the worst return for BOS. re-uniting Mitchell with Monty is a good thing. The Hawks really messed up his development. I'm sure he'll at least start the season in providence, but look for him to push for an NHL role.

You have 10 million cap, you could only resign swagman and Hathaway. Bert is gonna want 6-7 million. Say goodbye

Bad move for Chicago IMO. Regula is a solid prospect, while Mitchell isn't worth much at this point, but Hall is a cap dump so where are the assets for taking a cap dump?

Hawks better be able to flip Hall at the deadline with retention for a at least a 2nd if not more for this to make sense.

I have Mitchell higher than Regula. I do agree it's a bit perplexing that the 2 guys are basically their only 2 RD prospects (that are even remotely close to ready to making the jump). I guess they didn't see either of them making the jump. Also, agreed that it all depends on what happens going forward. I'm still not sure Hall stays with the Hawks. We'll see. If he gets flipped for 50% retained...he could be worth quite a bit.

***EDIT*** Let's see what happens after most of the RFAs don't actually get contracts. That's another element of this whole calculus that's underrated. Could be a lot of younger guys out there for free.
