Description
At some point, Chicago is going to have to start trading some of these picks for young players on NHL rosters similar to MTL (trades for Dach and Newhook)

They have so many picks already and could potentially trade Bailey, johnson, dickinson, blackwell, foligno, and tinordi at the next TDL. Obviously all probably won’t be moved (only have 2 retention spots because of mccabe trade), but i’m curious to see how Davidson’s trade philosophy shifts this year. He’s been great at getting picks but let’s see how they go about identifying young talent

2024 1st from Tampa and Taylor Raddysh to Toronto for Nylander is my offer. It’s basically a steal for them because they can flip Willy before the deadline for a haul.

Way too early in the rebuild for a shift in philosophy. Also, he seems pretty committed to building through the draft and development. I doubt we see very much of him reaching into other teams younger roster players and prospect pools at any point. It seems to me his plan is to keep padding the salary cap with short term signings, acquisitions, and cap dumps, until our own prospects take over. Maybe at that point they will start to reach out to fill holes a bit more. But now is way too soon.
