Description
Prior trades:
-Don’t mind Blackwood for a 6th. It’s a low risk potentially high reward move. Either he’s a stop gap for a 6th or he turns it around and is a shark for a long time.

-Lorentz and a 5th for Duclair I LOVE. Solid bottom sixer and a later pick for a guy who can add scoring to the lineup and is young enough to earn another contract with the team. If he doesn’t want to stay he’s a great chip to move at the deadline and is relatively cheap.

-Kniazev for Gawanke I don’t love but don’t hate. Kniazev improved this year and theres definitely something there. Gawanke offers a right shot and produced well in the ahl last year. Sharks desperately need eight shots on the back end.

Trades here:
-Myers has been speculated to San Jose in the media. Canucks shed a large amount of cap here for rather cheap.

-Karlsson to Pittsburgh has been the recent speculation. Petry would be ideal in the trade however I doubt he waives for San Jose. Granlund is the easiest player to move. There’s a good amount of retention on Karlsson and a prospect going the other way.

-Toronto gets a young defenseman with term to round out their d core. They save money by moving Murray in the deal.

-NJ makes the ECF and therefore the pick from the Meier trade becomes a 1st

Pens accept. I’m glad there are still sensible people on here that realizes it’s likely EK doesn’t bring back 4 1st rounders and multiple high prospects

Not that Pitt has high prospects but yes I think this is a fine return and one San Jose would be happy with.

Sharks do the Vancouver deal, maybe on the Pittsburgh one. Definite no on the Leafs trade.

Why wouldn’t they? They have a ton of LD and they get a 1st for Ferraro which is likely a steal with how he has played.
