Isles dont have space for Nino. WPG would have to take cap back

Those are all on the very easy to turn down side for the Jets. Making bad trades is no way to restructure.

You got 15 million in cap, why give Nino away? You got to get more for Connor, and there’s no obligation to take a goalie back with the devils, I’m all about collecting some firsts, but random other picks don’t hold a bunch of value by any means

the problem with these types of trades is that you’re giving away proven, high-end players (with some term in the case of connor and ehlers) for pieces that won’t make an immediate or even short-term impact, if they make any impact at all (picks can always bust out). these moves scream rebuild but this roster is now set up to suck for a long time and help is a long ways off. when you boil these trades down, you’re essentially trading hellebuyck, connor, ehlers and nino for novak, vanecek a rental teravainen and two late firsts that are years away from even being *drafted*. that is awful value
