Description
As for the D - priority #1 for TDL spending if we get some LTIR cap but I'd like to see Liljegren get a long look at being a steady top 4 D, I think he's capable. Priority #2 is a 3rd goalie option, #3 would be a two way C to push Domi to the wing, Jarnkrok to 4th line

Imagine thinking the leafs could actually sign 3 more NHL players.

I think I'd rather have Brodie with Klingberg and Rielly and Liljegren. Then McCabe and Timmins as the 3rd pair.

Comtois isn’t really of need and Leafs haven’t shown any interest or contact him as of yet. I don’t see the fit, they’re already full at LW.

Reaves is starting on the roster. He was brought in for a reason. He or the team wouldn’t have signed that contract if he wasn’t going to be on the roster - thus putting you over the cap.

Timmins would likely be picked up on waivers. It’s a possibility that’s been talked about, but they can’t really afford to lose him because the defensive depth is lacking.

Jarnkrok and Lafferty are the guys they’re looking at moving. I wouldn’t be shocked to see 1 or both of them moved before training camp starts so they can be cap compliant.

yea I think, assuming the D stays the same, we see them try both of those lineups. I do like the McCabe - Liljegren fit, two more defensive D but with completely different styles of doing it. McCabe is your big hit clear the net D, Liljegren is the position/stick play and good outlet pass type of D, I love that fit. And then we know how Brodie and Rielly mesh. Then Gio - Klingberg, Gio is a solid defender but especially noticed in the playoffs his breakouts have taken a step back, I like the fit of having Klingberg be the distributor. But yea I definitely wouldn't have Gio play any more than 50 regular season games and try to limit his minutes so he's fresh come game 1.

I'd hate to lose the utility and 20 goals that Jarnkrok gives. Maybe Lafferty but I really like him as a bottom 6 player as well, very versatile. I see what you're saying but yea, I don't love it. I like having the option of Reaves but I don't want him playing most nights. And "full at LW" depends entirely if Domi plays wing or C, he played most games at C last year so we'll see
