Unless they get real surprise seasons from prospects, the blue line and goaltending are abysmal.

They have some decent NHL talent at forward but I’m really surprised they haven’t bothered to sign any UFA Dmen on one year deals.

Maybe a slight improvement record wise over last season, but still 8th in the Central, and bottom 5 in the league. But getting Bedard, Reichel, Vlasic, Soderblom and the other prospects meaningful NHL ice time is worth it.

This season is for getting the kids on D some consistent playing time in the bigs. See what they have and see how they fit for the whole season. I think this is a make it or break it year for Roos due to age but they're definitely rolling with the youth at LD.
