I pray for sillinger to be ready but I have a feeling a top 6 role is asking too much.

I have high hopes... There are so many possibilities and we have a new set of eyes (Babblecock) evaluating it all.
Let's hope Cole comes ready to rock and roll and rebounds. There are a handful of extra guys both on FWD and D and training camp will be interesting to watch.
Especially if a guy like Jiricek firmly grabs a spot.
Regarding Cole, if we want to have a better season this year, a lot of it is going to depend on Cole and Fantilli making strides.

Personally, I'm hoping to see Sillinger start in the AHL till around the new year. I don't think there's any harm in giving him more time to develop without the pressure to not make mistakes like he may if put back into a top 6 role in the NHL right away. If he's killing it, we can pull him up a bit earlier. Otherwise, I'd like to give him 25-30 games in Cleveland and then bring him back up for the last 60% of the NHL year.

I'd like to play Blankenburg over Bean too, but that may be a favoritism thing. I think you get a bit more consistency from Blanks, which I'd prefer on the 3rd pair and I highly doubt Bean has a future with this team past 23-24, so don't see a need to play him unless he's just flat out the better option short term.

Like I don't doubt for one second that Fantilli will be 1C by Christmas but lets be honest here...Babcock is the coach and he's most likely our 3C opening night spite people losing their minds about it. He'll probably take 2C by Halloween though similar to what KJ experienced last year.

Oh for sure, he's an old school coach.. he'll start probably at 3C and will work his way up. You have to earn it.
Heck they might put him at wing at first as well.
