Description

Not signing Tarasenko lets us offer Pinto a contract similar to Newhook in MTL, just a tad lower since Newhook has a bit more of a resume. Better for the team long-term, especially with Sanderson's extension. Also, Kubalik provides that scoring touch so we don't need both.

I can stomach the DeBrincat trade and while I don't love the term on Korpi, I can live with it. Only one I hate is the Tarasenko signing.

shouldn't have acquired BOTH Kubalik and Tank. Really should have been one or the other and then lock up Pinto

Dorion is not a really a GM that learns from past mistakes. Trading for DeBrincat was NOT the right move, it contributed to the team struggling at ES. Signing Tarasenko is more of the same except that he is older, more damaged and worse defensively than DeBrincat.
