AZ doesn't need Armia, or the 11 PTOs for that matter, to hit the cap floor. They aren't taking Armia from you for free, let alone paying for him. He hasn't had a good season in like 6 years.

Canes pass. Why on earth would they take on MORE defensemen? Plus, Suzuki just dominated a prospect camp and looks like he could have an NHL shout

AZ is 4m from cap ceiling not an issue on needing cap hits, the PTOs are because they have for some weird reason 3 preseason games on the same day (3 cities), none (maybe Dzingel gets AHL) should be staying.
Armia is due 8.6m next 2 years, no way taking him to hope he gets good and can TDL (w retention). He isnt getting top 9 W icetime - he'd be fighting boyd for 12th F. MTL wants to dump going to be to a team starting rebuilding and do a deal like rangers did w nemeth - take him for 2x 2nd - its ugly.
