Still gotta pay KJ and Marchenko which won't come cheap...plus honestly I think Zegras is a bit...er...soft. I am not a huge fan of him after watching games late year waiting for them to (yuck) win for the tank bowl. Anyways these trade rumors are just their FO to mess with his agent to lower the price.

I don’t hate this for either side, actually. Ducks probably argue for a forward instead of Mateychuk since the strength of their pool is on D (especially the left side) but the offer feels quite fair. And wow, would Zegras make that an exciting top six with Jenner and Fantilli flipped. Plus a built in friendly rivalry with Jersey considering Zegras and JHughes’ relationship, just as Columbus hopefully takes the steps into being a playoff team in 24-25.

And it very much feels like a Jarmo move.
