Chabot is playing the LEft side in camp, which would be a great move if it works.

I also have a hard time believing that the Sens would ship out Kubalik right after acquiring him. It is a bad look for the Sens and makes it harder to sign FA's. New owner likely also doesn't want that bad optics as the first move team makes with him as owner.

I think it is more likely that Branstrom of Joseph is moved. If Kevein shows up at camp, (which it looks like he is already coming in top 3 of fitness testing, would make it easier to move on branstrom.

He's a LHD and played left all his career, please explain

I don't get this argument... It's not like they signed Kubalik as a UFA. Dorion made his choice and decided to sign Tarasenko, which stole Kubalik's PP spot and made him redundant

They didn't "acquire" him. Dorion insisted to get a 1st in return for DeBrincat (for the optics) and took whatever else he could. Wings wanted to move Kubalik since they were getting a huge upgrade in DeBrincat

Joseph is a better ES (and PK of course) player than Kubalik and it would cost asset(s) to move him. Brannstrom is a possibility since Kleven is coming up but Dorion has to get a good asset for him, like a good forward prospect.

I like Kubalik as a player but where would he fit in the Yotes forward group? ARZ already has wingers like Crouse, Kerfoot, Maccelli, Gunther that are likely going to be in the bottom six next year, all of whom could play higher in the lineup on many teams. There just isn't a spot that makes sense with the current makeup of the team. Places like Detroit, St. Louis and Chicago are all potential trade partners but AZ is currently set up pretty well with their forward group.
