This looks pretty accurate, but I think Knyzhov is going to get a shot as a starter instead of the Sharks claiming Smith. as much as I would like to see Bordeleau make the team I don't think there is toom for him, even with the Couture injury. Gushchin has looked good too, but he has the same problem.

I think he is close to being ready, but the Sharks have too many defensemen that would need to clear waivers to bring him up. If Simek does start the year on IR and the Sharks don't claim any defensemen on waivers, then there might get be a chance.

Yes, but he's waiver exempt and many others aren't. Quinn also said he loved his game but would like to see him start in the AHL to develop a bit. Essentially it's a case of "no need to rush it".

With that said, I think he could be special in the long run. This preseason/training camp has made me super excited for the Sharks defensive prospects
