1.

  1. 2024 1st round pick (EDM)
EDM
Compensation for Sean Monahan at the deadline (not necessarily from Edmonton but I do possibly see Monahan fetching a 1st)
    2.
    MTL
    1. 2024 3rd round pick (DAL)
    NSH
Compensation for Tanner Pearson at the deadline
      3.

      2. Pettersson, Elias [RFA Rights]

      7. 2024 1st round pick (EDM)
      8. 2025 2nd round pick (MTL)
      Additional Details:
This is assuming Montreal’s pick isn’t top-5. For some reason I really don’t see Montreal’s pick being that high this year. However, it will prob be top-10 still

        Future considerations

Arizona takes on two players that can possibly gain value throughout the season for nothing. If Dvorak plays well back on his former team, then he can be flipped at the deadline for an asset. Same thing with Armia, but it is less likely to happen
        6.
        CGY
        1. Kovacevic, Johnathan
        2. 2024 3rd round pick (MIN)
        Additional Details:
Kinda two deals in one. Kovacevic won’t necessarily be needed in Montreal anymore, so instead Duehr is brought in as a good one-year depth forward. And the 3rd for Vladar allows an Allen-Vladar tandem in Montreal. Sure, the Canadiens could re-sign Montembeault, but I’m not entirely sure if they will and for what cost

Funny that you say that the pick isn't in top 5, because I'm pretty sure the only hope you could ever have of making this trade is if the pick was 1st overall.

I'm not gonna comment too much on the obvious (pretty sure the pick would need to be 1 or 2 for the Canucks to consider this, on top of Pettersson not wanting to sign).

I sincerely doubt Monahan is fetching a first.

Arizona has lots of good young forwards, not sure why they would want a year of both those guys at those AAVs.

AZ passes - while I liked Dvo when he was here that cap hit for 3C is too much (and Bjugstad does similiar role at a lot less) and armia no need at all for bottom 6 W rather play young guy. As for picks at TDL AZ has so many picks another middle round or two is not worth taking on those contracts

Canucks need Reinbacher to be included, especially if the pick isn’t top 5

$9.5m in salary to dump Dvo and armia is deep into 1st round pick cost to dump territory. Absolutely no one is doing that for free
