Detroit doesn’t need any more LHD. Wasting a retention slot for an AHL LHD and 4th doesn’t move the needle.

High key disrespectful offer for Kostin
How does a 24yr old defenseman with zero NHL games yet and no impressive stats get you a 4th liner, who is currently averaging 0.5PPG. What you offered for Kostin makes more sense to acquire Maroon.
I think the the Habs trade is pretty fair, if I was the Habs I'd probably ask for conditions to improve the picks based on how far Edmonton would maybe go in the playoffs and how many games Monty and Monahan play

Basically. If the Wild decide to trade Maroon, they'd need to get something back that doesn't amount to nothing especially if they're retaining any salary with their cap situation.
