It's not Bertuzzi's fault an AHL coach doesn't know how to utilize him properly. Keefe likes the 5'9" Denis Malgins and Nic Petans

Keefe seems to enjoy scapegoating Bertuzzi. He'll leave his precious stars alone. Bert looks like he just ignores him. LOL

I mean he played for Jeff Blashill so he obviously knows how to tune out a bad head coach. 🤭

This return probably would've been solid for Nylander last year, but he's worth more now. He's got the highest value he's ever had, on pace for almost 50 goals and 110 points. That's gonna net a larger return than that. Calgary is probably throwing in a 1st or so as well.

Decent comparable would be Tkachuk for Huberdeau+Weegar+1st+mid prospect trade. Tkachuk had just put up just over 100 points, similar to what Nylander is on pace for. Huberdeau put up 115 points, though he wasn't as physical and was older. Weegar was one of the best defensemen in the league, fantastic shut down guy and pretty good offensively too.

Based off of that, Nylander isn't quite as valuable as Tkachuk was then due to RFA Status, age, and physicality. However, Lindholm/Tanev are quite a bit less valuable than Huberdeau and Weegar were back then. So Calgary should at least be sending back next years 1st, plus a prospect.
